Surf City Bridge Closures Are Impacting Local Beach Traffic

A temporary traffic signal at the Surf City Bridge is now active as part of a pilot project aimed at easing congestion near the island roundabout. The signal will be placed before the roundabout on the Surf City bridge, where about 21,000 cars pass through daily, according to NCDOT. The signal will remain in place for at least two weeks.
